Juvy Tiu, loving wife and mother of two children, passed away at OSF Sacred Heart Medical Center on Saturday, August 13, 2022, at the age of 54.

Juvy was born on June 1, 1968 in General Santos City, Philippines to Clemente and Ramonita Lacap. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing at Notre Dame of Dadiangas College in General Santos City, Philippines, and practiced as a Registered Nurse for over 25 years. On June 28, 1998, Juvy married Fernando Tiu. They raised two children, one daughter, Rachelle, and a son, Lorenz.

Juvy had a passion for Nursing. She loved to take care of others, and always went above and beyond to make sure her patients/residents received the best of care. She also loved going to Rummage Sales on the weekends with her husband, Fernando, and best friend, Vilma Lupian. Juvy was known for her kindness and generosity. She always put others before herself. Her laughter and smile always lit the room. Her love for the Lord was also a large part of her life. Juvy always praised the Lord in every circumstance that she faced. Her enthusiasm for Jesus and love for others will be greatly missed.

Juvy was preceded in her death by her father, Clemente. She is survived by her mother, Ramonita; husband, Fernando; two children, Rachelle (Byron) and Lorenz; six brothers, Restituto, Ferdinand, Emilionito, Warlito, Tolentino, Abraham and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Memorials may be made to Danville Alliance Church to assist in the construction of a church building for the Upper Matibay Alliance Church in General Santos City, Philippines.
